Higher Ground

That's right, I'm showing work at a marijuana dispensary!  Why not?  Just because someone uses medical marijuana doesn't mean they don't like art!  Many people use marijuana for disease or pain, so why shouldn't they have art in their lives!  Maybe they'll start going to more art shows and such. Or even if they never become collectors, what the hell, at least the work by Maine's #Digital Alchemist™ gets out there!!  I will be at the event for the first hour, then come find me at Local 188 .

and I got a nice little email from the folks:

I would like to personally congratulate you as your blog Ann Tracy's has been selected by our panelist as one of the Top 50 Maine Blogs on the web.

I personally give you a high-five and want to thank you for your contribution to this world. This is the most comprehensive list of Top 50 Maine Blogs on the internet and I'm honored to have you as part of this!

I'm hoping that they will also include the blog I'm doing for UMVA!

Although Maine is the more north-eastern state, it really had an impact on the Civil War.  You can look at the Wiki article here or take a trip out to Casco Bay and see Fort Gorges, which was built in the Civil War but then never used!

It's truly an amazing place that could be used (with some safety features updated) for theatre, dance, performance art, film, photography, you name it.  One day I will take a group of models and photographers out there for a photo shoot!  Maybe I should make that a goal for 2020.

I was pleased as punch to be juried into a show to benefit the group that is trying to update the fort and keep it in good shape for future generations, if we do something about climate change now.  If you'd like more info on the Friends of Fort Gorges, click here.

In the meantime, come on out and see the art that has been created to help keep the fort afloat.  It's this Friday night from 5:30 to 7:30 at Arta, 223 US Rte 1 in Falmouth.
