Can You Hear Me at Stonecrop Gallery

Just a few steps to the south of the Ogunquit Museum of American Art is an old building that almost looks like it was built back in the Revolutionary War days - Stonecrop Gallery.  Although the building is indeed old, it dates back from the 1920s.
JK & I were there yesterday afternoon for the reception of "Can You Hear Me Now", an exhibit of cell phone photos -  three of them from yours truly.  There is indeed a reason the gallery is called Sonecrop...
not only an outcropping of stone but what looks to be some kind of natural spring underneath as well.  The show was great.  Kudos to Stonecrop owner and photographer Dana Berenson for choosing strong work and printing it all so the show had a uniform look.

Two of my photos are in the first row to the left in this photo.

Here are the three pieces that made it into the show.

This is from the Cuba trip - Mujer Doble

This is from last year's Figure Workshop in Georgetown Maine with Elizabeth Opalenik

And this is Old South Church in Copley Sq, Boston - looking like old Paris to me.

Big thanks to Marc McElroy, Ekaterina Burvikova, Cindy Dodge-Hobson and Chris Hobson for coming down to see the show and going out to dinner with us after at the Cape Neddick Lobster Pound.  Even drove by the house that I lived in as a little girl there and Marc later grew up in.

First Friday and More!

Since it was getting close to show time, thought I'd post about not only the upcoming First Friday at Constellation where you will still find the Viva Cuba show up until June 26th but the other show I'm in just 30 miles south of here.  Last year I just didn't have it together to enter this show, but I was determined to do so this year.  Three of the four images I submitted made it into the show.  Next week sometime I'll post them for those of you who can't make the trip out here to Maine.  Ironically this gallery is located down the road from the house where I lived for a few years as a kid in Cape Neddick.  And to add to the fun, our friends from New Hampshire are coming to the show and then we're all going to the Cape Neddick Lobster Pound... please join us at either or all places.
