On the Boards and Back

Have you been wondering what I've been up to this month?  In addition to my usual writing and art making, I've been involved in a new play project, produced by Horn & Ivory Productions which premiered at the PortFringe here in Portland.  PortFringe is a fringe theatre festival where 60 shows were performed in four venues for five days!  The Shadow by Shannon Stockwell, was the play where I played Maude (YAY someone writing a part for a woman my age) along with actors Kiernan McGrath, Seanathan Senior, Katherine Reid and directed by Todd Bachus.  It was a great feeling to be able to help a young playwright and her director stage the vision.  Although it has been awhile since I've had to adjust to something like a rehearsal schedule.

Speaking of things theatre, I've been kinda blocked lately as a playwright.  So, after I got an email from asking me to post there occasionally, I thought I'd just go public with it.  I swear it wasn't 24 hours later that I was re-energized enough to take another critical look at The Vineyard!  You can read about the rest of it here.  So, now I've got to go mat that work for my next little mini-show - Figuratively Speaking!
