Back in the Saddle...
I know, I know! I haven't posted anything here since I got back from Vegas - which was Saturday, Jan 24th. We had a great time with our fabulous Reno artist friends who are in the Greetings from Nada Motel show at the Barrick Museum at UNLV. I still haven't downloaded the photos yet but that's coming soon, very soon.

Vegas, Baby
OK... tomorrow we leave for Las Vegas! Should be a fun trip and another great time with those nutty, wonderful, not to mention talented Reno artists. I'm looking forward to our artists' reception on Friday night at the Barrick Museum.

Greetings from Nada Motel 09
Spent most of the day yesterday driving up to Reno to deliver my art to Greetings from Nada Motel mastermind Chad Sorg. I also stopped in at the Art Museum there because I had read that they had some Joan Mitchell and Lee Krasner work on display. Both Mitchell and Krasner were underrated Abstract Expressionist artists. I especially like Mitchell's work and think that one day I will write a play based on her life. But come to find out they only had one painting by each. BOOOOOOOO

Strange Signs
We've probably all seen those crazy signs that have double meanings, either by intention or lack of attention. My friend Nancy took an amazing trip to Patagonia during the holiday season and she send me a link to her photos. She's a runner who's competed in many marathons, but I'm guessing that running in glacier territory was a new experience for her!

My New Doggie Friend
Hi.. this is Crash the dog, I'm blogging now because Mom just left me in the studio to do something outside. I can't believe she didn't post this great photo of me in my Santa hat at Christmas time. But before I started this I went looking for other blogs by dogs and found this great one called Nooter the Dog.

Music for Peace
Just got my email newsletter from the Capital Film Arts Alliance folks here in Sacramento and one of the items is about how a local filmmaker (who has had films at Sundance) is involved in this project to use music and film to bring peace to the world!
